Cake In a Jar | Chocolate Brownie

I have decided not to buy anything particular this year (oh this 2020!), but instead to make the cake in a jar / chocolate brownie. A super sweet thing about it is that the fresh ingredients are to be written on a label and attached to the jar. Isn’t it cute? You can even write the Christmas greetings on it, it will definitely make this cake in a jar / chocolate brownie even more pleasant to receive!

Orange Chicken

When I tried the first bite of the orange chicken, I was really speachless! I did not expect the chicken to still stay so crunchy when mixed with the sause. And the flavor! Oh the chicken is salty and the sauce is both sweet and sour. It is the best mix of ingredients, trust me!

Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

The apple cinnamon pancakes are very easy and quick to make. They are quite filling so the energy for the whole morning is guaranteed! As the maple syrup is super sweet, I tend to use sweeter apples and so brown sugar instead of the white one (that is sweeter). A great thing about these fluffy pancakes is that they are sweet enough even if eaten with no sweet toppings!

Apple Cake

This cake is a no butter cake, yet the taste is still extremely good. I love this apple cake recipe because it is super easy to make, and it only takes a couple of minutes to getting the ingredients ready. The rest is the baking time. You may want to make this cake for your coffee break, or when your friends are coming over. You all will love it, I promise!

Butternut Squash Soup

You may want to make this butternut squash soup without potatoes. Be ensured that you will still have a very tasty soup at the end! I like adding some potatoes as they make the consistence dense. If you prefer to make the soup with squash only, the result will be amazing.

Broccoli Salad

This broccoli salad is extremely easy to make. I would highly advise to leave it in fridge for at least an hour before serving as it helps the broccoli to absorb the flavors. I you have a chance to choose the type of mayonnaise, I would go for the one that is stronger in flavor, and more acid than sweet.

Marinated Olives

The taste of these marinated olives is absolutely stronger if you let them sit for some time. Nevertheless, they are still great for a quick appetizer. If you know you are about to have friends at home, I highly recommend to get the marinated olives ready at least a day before. Otherwise, if you need something quick to serve, here is the best option!

Roasted Figs with Sausage Pears and Feta

The roasted figs with sausage pears and feta is a super easy to make dish. What I love about it, is the mix of flavors. The figs are sweet yet a bit sour, the pears are sweet and give freshness to the dish. The sausage instead is salty! And finally, it is some feta that I put on top once I turn off the heat that adds even more flavor!

Beet Salad with Feta

The beet salad with feta is so quick to make: all you have to do is to simply cut the ingredients and put them together. Note that I never mix them together, I will rather put the grated beetroot to the plate and the rest of the ingredients on the top. You may also use your favorite spices! However, I usually use just salt and pepper as I love to keep it simple as it is full of flavors and adding spices may hide them.

Cornflake Cookies

The best part of the Italian recipes is that they are super simple, and yet the flavor is amazing. In particular, sweets and so these cornflake cookies! All you have to do is to simply mix all the ingredients together. Furthermore, you may want to keep the dough to sit for some time, I do it too so the condensed milk gets absorbed by the cornflakes.
