When I woke up this morning, I thought this is going to be yet another lazy Sunday. I was full of energy instead, so I definitely had to put it into something. What about making something quick and delicious? Why not! As I had fresh salmon, I decided to make the baked teriyaki salmon. Want to try it with me? Come along!
Teriyaki is a Japanese way of cooking food, where food is baked or grilled with a glaze of soy sayce, mirin (type of rice wine) and sugar. When mixed and cooked together, these ingredients give both sweet and sour flavor, and is the perfect mix for fish. The salmon, or better to say, the baked teriyaki salmon, is one of them.
Once you try this baked teriyaki salmon, I am sure you will come back to it again and again. It is a super easy-to-make 5-minute baked salmon recipe, where the salmon turns out both sweet, salty and savory. A perfect mix of flavors in one dish!
I have been always thinking that making teriyaki salmon is quite complicated. Trust me – it is not! There is actually no way you can fail making the teriyaki sauce and so teriyaki salmon as it is super easy. The baked salmon turns super delicious, soft and moist, and has an extremely beautiful texture (even though I do not use mirin).
The baked teriyaki salmon will be even more delicious if eaten with some side dish such as rice or potatoes. Here is the recipe of my oven roasted potatoes. If you are having guests and need some quick recipe, this baked salmon and potato dish will make your guests wow!
Give these two recipes a try, and let me know the result (shhh, they are among my favorite recipes, so I really want to know what you think!)
