Baked Teriyaki Salmon
Once you try this baked teriyaki salmon, I am sure you will come back to it again and again. It is a super easy-to-make 5-minute baked salmon recipe, where the salmon turns out both sweet, salty and savory. A perfect mix of flavors in one dish!
Homemade Guacamole
Holy Moly Guacamole! Yeah, this is what I would call this homemade guacamole. A super easy to make, so quick and so delicious. If you have unexpected guests passing over, and have the ingredients ready, this will be as simple as 1, 2, 3 for a quick appetizer. And trust me, your guests will love it! Not only for its beautiful colors, but also the flavor.. Oh that flavor!
Stuffed Bell Peppers
The stuffed bell peppers is an easy-to-make, delicious and impressive dish that can be served on special occasions. It is super colorful so will look stunning on your dining table. Everyone will love them, and I am sure people will ask you to make them again and again. (They may think it is super difficult to make the stuffed peppers, but don’t tell the truth, shhh!)
Chocolate Pear Cake
If you are looking for a simple chocolate pear cake recipe, here is the one! The most time consuming part is melting the butter and chocolate. The rest is mixing all the ingredients together. And the final part is tucking the pears into the batter. And this is it! ALERT NOTE: you do not cut the pears, you DO. NOT. They are the most beautiful part of this cake, especially when served, you will see!
Mushroom Puff Pastry
I am a (very) beginner-level expert of mushrooms. Everytime we go picking them (this happens quite rarely though), I always go for the chanterelles or boletus (even better known as porcini). When it comes to the mushroom puff pastry, you can use any type of mushrooms you have. The easiest is of course champignons that can be found at any grocery store. Easy, isn’t it?
Oven Roasted Eggplant | Baked Eggplant
I consider this oven roasted eggplant / eggplant mozzarella tomato bake as a main course. What is interesting is that for some people it is a side dish! I find it quite filling so could hardly imagine some other food aside. In any case, main course or side dish, this bake is amazingly good!
Homemade Donuts
The curd is not quite so common in Italy though. Once I was craving for donuts, and had to figure out how to replace the ingredient that does not exist in Italy. The MAIN ingredient! So after a few attempts, I decided to replace the curd with the ricotta cheese and curd cheese (nope, it is not the same as curd). The homemade donuts turned out amazing! Isn’t it lovely when you can make one of your favorite sweets abroad not having the main ingredient? It DOES make one happy, trust me 🙂
White Bean Dip
The white bean dip is really quick to make. And it is so healthy, too! The taste is quite soft….well, except if you load it with fresh chili pepper just the way I do. Loooots of chili pepper! My mouth is always burning, literally. But I still love it, especially on a freshly toasted bread.
French Onion Soup
To be honest, I didn’t expect the French onion soup to be made mostly out of onions. I knew there was a lot, but I really thought there were a lot more ingredients. The chicken and beef broths make the soup even more gooey, especially if you make the broths yourself (I usually buy them).
Sesame Crusted Tuna
Until the day I visited NYC, where I ordered the grilled yellowfin tuna at Royal 35 Steakhouse. Their sesame seared was ex-cep-tio-nal! Since that dinner, the sesame crusted tuna is one of my favorite dishes, and its color is beautiful, isn’t it? 🙂
